Dr. Paras Dedhia
MD, FASN (USA), Nephrologist and Transplant Physician
Dr. Paras M. Dedhia is a Consultant Nephrologist and Transplant Physician with a wealth of experience in nephrology and transplant medicine. He holds a Transplant Nephrology Fellowship and a Nephrology Fellowship from the University of Cincinnati, Ohio, USA, and has completed an Internal Medicine residency at Guthrie/Robert Packer Hospital, Pennsylvania, USA. Dr. Dedhia earned his MBBS from Grant Medical College and Sir JJ Group of Hospitals, Mumbai. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) and is a Fellow of the American Society of Nephrology (FASN). Additionally, he holds qualifications registered under the Medical Council of India and Maharashtra Medical Council.
Currently, Dr. Dedhia practices as a Consultant Nephrologist and Transplant Physician at several prominent hospitals in Mumbai, including Criticare Hospital, Thunga Hospital, Oscar Hospital, Lotus Hospital, and Apex Superspeciality Hospital. His extensive clinical expertise is complemented by a strong commitment to patient care, ensuring optimal treatment outcomes for individuals with complex renal conditions.
Dr. Dedhia has a significant background in research and scholarly activities, having presented numerous posters at prestigious conferences, including the Indian Society of Nephrology (ISNCON), American Society of Nephrology, and Society of Renal Nutrition and Metabolism. His research contributions cover a wide range of topics, including dialysis patient care, nutrition assessment, depression and compliance among dialysis patients, and innovative approaches to blood pressure monitoring in chronic dialysis populations. He has also been involved in quality improvement projects, such as dialysis nurse-driven bedside assessments and improving dialysis education in India.
